PDP Prismatic Wired Xbox One Controller Due out in October

Earlier this year, Performance Design Products announced a new wired controller for Xbox One. These controllers – officially licensed by Microsoft – probably fall somewhere in between Microsoft’s normal Xbox One controller and Microsoft’s upcoming Elite Xbox One controller. Regardless, this product has us excited at Games Reviews.

We’ve done reviews of a lot of PDP products, and although we don’t always rave 100% – sometimes a few things have disappointed us – they do make a better than average product, and at times they are industry leading in their designs and functionality. I’m hoping for more of the same in this wired controller. While I probably won’t like everything about it, overall I hope to find it a better experience than my current Xbox One controller.

3rd party controllers have always turned me off. I had cheap Mad Catz controllers for my Gamecube and original Xbox, but since then, I’ve always used official licensed gaming accessories. Late in 2014, around the launch of Smash, PDP began releasing wired Fight Pads for the Wii U. Because I loved the Gamecube controller design so much, and since the Gamecube controller and adapters that were re-released were so hard to find, and turned to the Fight Pad. I found these controllers to be superb, which has eased my stance on 3rd party controllers slightly. This Afterglow Prismatic Wired Controller could push me over the edge.

We will hopefully review this controller in the next few months. Until then, get more information at PDP’s Website and stay tuned to Games Reviews for more coverage.
