Summer in Mara Story Trailer

Summer in Mara is an upcoming adventure simulation game that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, STEAM, Xbox One, and PS4. At first glance, it may just look like a simulation game with some Wind Waker elements, but Summer in Mara has an actual story and its looks pretty neat. Here is the trailer for the Summer in Mara’s story! Summer in Mara looks amazing. The game looks like a combination of Harvest Moon and The Wind Waker. Thats…

Turmoil Impressions (Nintendo Switch)

Turmoil, an oil baron simulator, has been out on PC for several years now, but it just made the leap to the Switch.  It’s a fun, if somewhat shallow, game that wouldn’t really make sense on other consoles.  In Turmoil, you compete with three other AI characters to extract oil from various plots of land, earning money to be spent at an auction on shares that will determine the next mayor of the town. The game consists of two phases,…

Turmoil Launches on Nintendo Switch

After launching for the PC all the way back in 2016, oil-tycoon simulator Turmoil is now available for the Nintendo Switch.  The simulation game comes with it’s previously released DLC pack, The Heat Is On, which gives players access to new maps and mechanics.  Turmoil will have you bidding for land, and extracting oil from the earth below.  Success comes in the form of growing your town, outbidding others for more land, bribing authorities, and expanding your empire. On the…

More Thoughts From Me #223: Where Have All the Good Animal Crossing Holidays Gone?

I love Animal Crossing New Horizons. I think its the best Animal Crossing game yet. You can check out my review of the game here. And yet…the holidays in this game suck so far. Let’s talk about them and what I hope to see in the future. In Animal Crossing City Folk and New Leaf, Bunny Day was a holiday where you dug up (or in the case of New Leaf: dug up, fished up, shot down, etc) easter eggs…

Stranded Deep Review

Stranded Deep, originally released in Early Access on PC in 2015, has brought its island-hopping survival experience to consoles. It’s an addictive and enjoyable experience, but one that still feels several steps away from greatness. The game, like many others in the genre, drops you on a deserted island and requires you to craft, explore, and survive, while hopefully advancing the barebones plot. That plot is essentially that you’ve survived a plane crash over a series of equidistant islands, and…

Animal Crossing New Horizons: May Day Impressions

If you haven’t checked out the May Day event in Animal Crossing New Horizons yet, do not read this article. I’m warning you! This article will go into what the May Day event is and what I thought of it. When I started Animal Crossing New Horizons today, Isabelle told me about May Day and that I should come to resident services to talk to Tom Nook about it. As soon as I could, I went there and talked to…

Animal Crossing New Horizons: Nature Day Thoughts

Yesterday was Nature Day in Animal Crossing New Horizons. The Nook Miles part of the event lasts till May 4th but yesterday was when it stared and Leif visited for the first time. What did I think of the event? What else happened that day? Here are my thoughts on Nature Day! Thanks to Nintendo’s recent New Horizons update, Nature Day and a whole bunch of other stuff was added to the game! And yesterday was Nature Day. What did…

Totally Reliable Delivery Service feat

Totally Reliable Delivery Service – My Impressions

Nobody should take life (or themselves) too seriously, and nothing I have ever done has hammered this point home better than Totally Reliable Delivery Service. A parody of a physics simulator, Totally Reliable Delivery Service pits players against, well, themselves. And the laws of physics. Laws? More like - the loose guidelines of physics. While this may sound like a nightmare to some, when approached with the right attitude, this game can be the perfect way to unwind at the end of a long and stressful day (not that anyone is currently experiencing any of those!).

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – April Free Update Will Arrive on April 23rd

Nintendo announced today that the April free update to Animal Crossing New Horizons would be coming out on April 23rd. The update is far bigger than any expected! Check out the video below and then come back for some thoughts on it. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons free April update will add Nature Day, which includes Leif as a traveling merchant. He will sell flowers and wait for it…bushes! I’m very excited about the return of bushes. They look really…

More Thoughts From Me #217: My 2020 Gaming So Far

In a previous column, I talked about how I believe we are in for a lot of delays this year. But now its time to focus on the positive! What have I been playing this year so far? What do I wish I was playing? And what do I hope comes out in 2020? Let’s get to it! As you all know, thanks to my review-in progress and other articles, I have been playing a ton of Animal Crossing New…
