In a post on their new website, the Xbox Wire, Microsoft announced that 2015 was one of the best years for Xbox, ever. For starters, December 28th saw more Xbox Live logins in one day than ever before in the console franchises history. Below are a few exerts from the article.

Sony's handheld that could might not be, but that doesn't mean it's a complete failure. The Vita is a technical powerhouse, and the capabilities of it make it well worth picking up. That's only been improved upon since the release of the PlayStation 4 as well. Maybe that's why such a huge amount of PS4 owners have decided to pick up a Vita as well.

The PSP might be a distant memory for some of us, but it sold incredibly well. With well over 70 million units shipped, it remains an important if under-appreciated effort. The PlayStation Vita is way behind that curve, so far behind that even Sony would be surprised if the Vita managed to catch up.

The Wii U has been nothing but trouble for Nintendo. As Nikkei reported today, the poor sales resulted in the Big N recently getting slammed with a $15 million dollar operating loss, which is forcing President Satoru Iwata to take a 50 percent pay cut from now until June. Other executives are taking pay cuts, as well, by as much as 30 percent.

Last Friday, Nintendo announced a drop in expected Wii U sales from 9 million to a meager 2.8 million, representing an almost 70% drop. Even before this announcement, however, journalists and fans alike have been debating on how Nintendo can turn their current console around. During the 1990s and early 2000s, Nintendo fans were treated to a number of quality games, both for the casual and hardcore fan. It could be argued that this changed after the released of the N64.

Earlier this week, Sony confirmed that they'd sold over two million PlayStation 4 units worldwide. Microsoft have yet to officially confirm their sales numbers (and I suppose there's no reason that they have to), but they have said that they're sold out in retailers around the world. But who cares about any of that? How are Microsoft doing when measured in ZOMBIES!

  The Playstation 4 broke the 1 million units sold mark in 24 hours. Since the system isn’t available in Europe yet (it will be on November 29, Februrary 2014 in Japan), this number only refers to North American retail sales. To put this in perspective, the Playstation 3 only sold 197,000 units in its first two weeks.
