Nintendo of America announced today that a Direct will air on 9/23! Wait! Thats tomorrow! There will be an all-new Nintendo Direct tomorrow (9/23) at 5:00pm central. On twitter, Nintendo of America said that the Direct will be “roughly 40 minutes of information focused mainly on #NintendoSwitch games launching this winter.” We know that Metroid Dread, Mario Party, Pokémon, Advance Wars, and Big Brain Academy are coming soon. Mario Party is back, channeling the original titles focus of board game playing, and ditching the recent team concept. And I’m all for it! For a whole console generation now, Mario Party as a franchise has been on a steady decline. Both Mario Party 9 on the Nintendo Wii and Mario Party 10 on the Nintendo Wii U, ditched the concept of individual play, and instead put players together in a vehicle. For players who had been fans since Mario Party 1, this was a letdown, and enthusiasm for the franchise waned.

Nintendo announced today that they will be having a 3DS focused Nintendo Direct on September 1st.
