Super Mario RPG Launches on Wii U Today

One of the best RPG games ever created will launch on the North America Wii U Virtual Console today for the reasonable price of $7.99. Of all the games that Nintendo has put onto the Virtual Console, this SNES classic is by far the best. My weekend has just been lost completely, and if I didn’t have an obligation to review LEGO Star Wars, I would probably play this non-stop! Super Mario RPG was an outstanding game when it first…

More Thoughts From Me #23: Time to Explore!

Recently, I got Final Fantasy Explorers when it was on sale at Amazon. I had resisted the game for awhile because I wasn’t sure if I’d like it. But at $20, the game was too hard to resist anymore. Thankfully, I didn’t make a mistake getting the game. Here’s why I like Final Fantasy Explorers so much! I’m a big fan of Final Fantasy. Well, I should say I’m a big fan of the older Final Fantasy with the turn-based…

More Thoughts From Me E3 Special Edition: That Was Much Better Nintendo

Day 2 of Nintendo’s Treehouse is over. So I thought I’d write up my thoughts about what I saw in Day 2. Overall, I was pleased. I’ll tell you why and gush about the games that I loved. Here we go with my final More Thoughts solely focused on Nintendo’s E3! Oh my goodness. That was so much better than Day One of the Nintendo Treehouse. Yes, I did skip watching a couple of games because I had no interest…

Anima: Gates of Memories Review

There is a lot to like about Anima Gates of Memories, and these aspects definitely outweigh the areas of the game that we felt suffered. However, if you are caught in between releases of your favorite JRPG's, take Anima for a spin and enjoy the ride. It's definitely a world worth visiting!

Bethesda at E3? Good, Bad, or Indifferent?

I’m always excited about what Bethesda is going to do – I know what I’m getting when I play a Bethesda game, and unlike some other companies – Lionhead, I’m looking at you – the company isn’t really known for over promising and under delivering. So of all the conferences at this years E3, this one had me really excited. For the record, Bethesda did announce some really great stuff, although some of it was already leaked long before the…

Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice Review

Sequels are sometimes better than the first game, but more often than not, sequels are worse. Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice is the second Dragon Fantasy game for the 3DS (its also available on Wii U but I didn't review the Wii U version), with a third one already planned. Is The Black Tome of Ice better than the first game, as good as the first game, or did the developers drop the ball?

Ziggurat Review

Dungeon crawling titles are becoming a weekly occurrence across PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One, and unfortunately we get more shovel ware than actual quality titles. So when something comes around that deserves to be raved about, we think it necessary to inform our readers of it. Ziggurat is that title. While there are a few things that we would have liked to see different, the game as a whole is a wonderful, dungeon crawling experience.

Robots and Old School RPG gameplay: A Look At Infinite Dunamis for 3DS

Kemco’s newest game, Infinite Dunamis, came out recently for 3DS. I received a review code for the game and have been working my way through it. I’m not sure when the review is coming, but thought this would be a good time for a preview of the game. Here are my thoughts on Infinite Dunamis so far! Infinite Dunamis for the 3DS is set in a world where robots tried to take over humanity, but two kingdoms put aside their…

More Thoughts From Me #21: Games Shouldn’t End on Cliffhangers

Recently, I was playing a game that I really loved. I got to the end and….it said the words To Be Continued. I couldn’t believe it. I felt really let down. And I have no idea if there is going to be a sequel. That’s the worst part. Today, I want to talk about games and cliffhanger endings. Here’s the truth about video games: you just never know how well a game will sell. What if you create a video…
