Devious Dungeon 2

I liked Devious Dungeon for the Nintendo Switch a lot. I found it to be an addictive and really fun game. And now Devious DungeonĀ 2 is on the Nintendo Switch eshop. Is it as good as the first game, better, or worse? Lets find out! Here is my review on Devious Dungeon 2 for the Nintendo Switch.

If you’ve played the first Devious Dungeon, then you know what the second game is like, not much has changed here. Devious Dungeon 2 keeps the same combat, random dungeons, and even hidden passages. The enemies are pretty similar too. There are some minor additions, like a more detailed “world map”, but overall Devious Dungeon 2 is pretty much like the first game.

I’m not saying that Devious Dungeon 2 is bad game. In fact, if you liked the first game, you’ll like the seocnd one too. Both are addictive and fun dungeon crawlers.

My main problem with Devious Dungeon 2 is that it plays it safe. Everything you loved about the first game is back. There isn’t anything too different here. Devious Dungeon 2 might as well have been a DLC pack to the first game.

The graphics look the same. Very detailed and well done. The music and sound effects are on par with the Devious Dungeon 1.

I like both Devious Dungeon 1 and 2. I think they are great games. I just wish that the second game had tried to be a little more creative and different from the first. If you are looking for fun pick and up and play dungeon crawlers, you can’t go wrong with Devious Dungeon 1 and 2. Despite being very similar, both are fun and pretty addictive.

Devious Dungeon 2 gets a 9.0 out of 10.
