Three Things Assassin’s Creed Origins Doesn’t Need…But Would Be Cool
Assassin's Creed Origins is easily one of the best games released in 2017, and it has even taken my top spot amongst Assassin's Creed titles since the original, topping my previous all-time favorite, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. From start to finish, exploring Ancient Egypt and removing its citizens from the grasp of a tyrannical leader was an amazing experience. With so much to do, there really was never a dull moment. Quests were varied, and the chance at rare and legendary loot made me explore every nook the game had to offer. When we look back at past Assassin's Creed experiences, however, there were some game play elements that were never added to Origins. Top 3 Things We Want in a Pokémon Game on Switch
We all know that a Pokémon game is coming to the Nintendo Switch, hopefully in 2018, but the details of such a game are currently in the dark. Will it be an upgraded version of what has been working on handhelds for 20+ years, or will it be something in the vein of Pokémon Snap? Or, will Nintendo look to do something crazy and different, bringing the franchise in a new direction? LEGO Batman Movie Series 2 Figures Available Now
The LEGO Minifigure series' have been insanely popular for The LEGO Group since their inception a number of years ago, and while I'm not big into collecting the generic sets - although they do make great extras when putting together a LEGO town! - I'm a big fan of the franchise sets, including the LEGO Simpsons, LEGO Ninjago, and of course, LEGO Batman! Beginning in 2018, it appears as if LEGO is doing something different with their baseplates, which is something I've been hoping for, for a long, long time! Undead Dragons coming to Elder Scrolls Online

Nintendo Switch the Fastest Selling Console in US History
Despite an odd release date for a home console - March typically isn't when new consoles launch - Nintendo looks to have made the correct decision as it was announced this week that the Nintendo Switch is the fastest selling console in US video game history, within a 10 month span. Released March 3rd 2017 worldwide, Nintendo has had a very successful year after a lackluster 2016, and for many gamers, have been deemed the 'winners' of 2017.

Mad Catz is Back
After a several year Hiatus, Big Boy PR out of the UK announced today that Mad Catz was making a return to the accessories development marketplace, and had tons of new products and ideas in store for consumers. It's been a number of years since Mad Catz was a relevant brand; if my memory serves me right, their last major production project was the equipment for the Rock Band re-release, prior to that development being taken over by Performance Design Products when Mad Catz folded. Xbox Kinect Officially Dead
Despite stopping production on the Xbox One Kinect in November, Microsoft was still pumping out the adapters necessary to play the Kinect on the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X. Well, they were at least, until this week when it was announced that they have also ceased production on that item as well, officially killing the Kinect. This should come at no surprise as many wondered why the Kinect made the generational jump from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One in the first place. Regardless, it really is a good feeling knowing this aspect of Microsoft's home console is gone. That's not a slight against Xbox either, but rather, a chance for the company to shift focuses.
