Isekai Rondo is the most recent addition to the Switch’s KEMCO jrpg library. Is this game worth checking out? Here is our review of Isekai Rondo for the Nintendo Switch!

In Isekai Rondo you play as a man who has been reincarnated from someone living in Tokyo to a fantasy rpg universe. The main character doesn’t want to be a hero, he just wants live a normal life despite whats happened to him. So of course he ends up getting dragged into a hero saga! Isekai Rondo’s story is pretty unique and its characters are interesting. The dialogue definitely can be funny at times too. What about its gameplay though? Is Isekai Rondo a fun game?

As far as its gameplay goes, Isekai Rondo is a traditional turn-based rpg. If you’ve played a KEMCO turn-based rpg before, then you should be familiar with the gameplay. Isekai Rondo plays like a pretty straight forward jrpg. Fans of the genre should enjoy it but its unlikely that it’ll capture new fans imaginations. That said, the story is pretty unique and makes this a bit more interesting.

Isekai Rondo’s graphics look like a game from the SNES or Sega Genesis. Fans of the jrpg genre will appreciate the graphics and gameplay more than anyone else. This game may seem like it has limited appeal, but a unique story elevates it a bit.

Overall, Isekai Rondo is a neat game that’s made even better by its unique story. The main character isn’t your traditional jrpg hero and the cast of characters he meets are all pretty unique. The story and characters definitely make this one a bit more interesting than your typical jrpg. If you like old school rpgs but want the story to be slightly different, then this might be the game you are looking for.

Thank you to KEMCO for providing a digital code for this review. Isekai Rondo is now available on the Nintendo Switch eshop!
