Sony announced today during E3 that they’ll be making a remake of the original Ratchet & Clank, alongside a movie for the 2 space traveling beloved heroes. Both the game and the movie will be released next year.

Sony Closed out it's 2014 E3 Conference with the first real teaser footage of Uncharted PS4, now titled "A Thief's End". In it, an unconscious and beaten down Nathan Drake (looking absolutely graphically spectacular) wakes up on a riverbank, reloads his gun, and begins to trek once more through the jungle. As he walks, a conversation between him and Victor "Sully" Sullivan, his greatest friend and mentor in thievery, is overheard.

More developers need to do what Sucker Punch Productions is doing: selling stand alone DLC that will go along with their latest Infamous title, Second Son. During the Sony E3 press conference, Sucker Punch showed off a trailer for Infamous: First Light. It appears as if the protagonist in Infamous: First Light will be Second Son, Neon controlling female, Conduit Fetch. Although this DLC is stand alone, extra content will be available to those who own Second Son.

You wanted zombies, so Sony have announced zombies. At their E3 conference this evening, they announced Dead Island 2. It's set in a colourful Californian town with gorgeous beaches.

Ubisoft launched Assassins Creed to much fanfare and hype, and it was generally received very well. It was different, innovative, and had an intriguing storyline. As the franchise progressed, the games began to roll out steadily; of all that stayed the same, only one good thing could be found throughout: the story.

Hockey is a religion in Canada. Unlike in the United States, where football, baseball, and basketball compete for viewers, Canadians universally place hockey above everything else. So it is no surprise that EA Sports NHL franchise continues to be developed in beautiful British Columbia, and the group there continues to innovate.

With one press conference down, and a few more to go, it appears as if downloadable content is going to once again be a big thing at E3 2014. DLC comes with its own praises and criticisms, but in general, it is a idea that has worked out for both developers and gamers. Developers can extend the life of their titles while also gaining more revenue, while players get more content for the games they love. There are a few issues that have always, and will always, surround DLC.

Today Battlefield Hardline showed up at E3. I’ve not been a huge fan of the franchise, but this game immediately caught my attention. Hardline combines the gameplay of Battlefield with the well-known ‘catch me if you can’ game mode. The result seems to be a fast paced shooter with many decisions which can influence the outcome.

After a successful release on PC earlier this year, the free-to-play third person shooter Loadout is making its way onto PS4. Loadout will be a console exclusive, only appearing on PS4 and the already released PC version.

Warner Brothers have today announced the next entry in the Mortal Kombat series. Mortal Kombat X is the long-awaited follow-up to the semi-reboot Mortal Kombat 9, which was really a a remake of sorts of the first three titles in the franchise. Where will they go next? Thankfully, we won't have to wait long to find out, with details due to come out during E3.
