It's a double-barrelled nightmare, but the first next-gen Middle-Earth game from Warner-Brothers (maybe not that last one) was today announced for Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

The popular digital indie game service Humble Bundle has launched an online storefront dubbed The Humble Store. The new service offers daily discounts on video games for Windows PC, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS. There have been plenty of announcements at this year's BlizzCon, including the reveal that the Playstation 4 Diablo III release will include the Reaper of Souls expansion. Reaper of Souls will be packed with new features, including more randomization. Voxler Games have this morning announced what they claim to be the world's first PC karaoke game. Let's Sing will certainly be the most advanced though, containing the video for each of the 40 songs included in the purchase.

It's no surprise to anybody with a brain, but Call of Duty: Ghosts appears to have done very well. They've shipped a billion dollars worth of units (some 17 million), some of which will presumably have been snapped up by consumers. That's the problem - we just don't know.

Deep Silver have today launched a Linux version of Metro: Last Light, now downloadable via Steam. If you have a Linux-based machine and Steam installed, check it out. More than that though, they've also announced that Last Light will be fully Steam Machine compatible, and will actually be pre-installed on the prototype rigs being sent out to testers.

The history of Final Fantasy XIV is a little rough. It had to basically be remade from scratch after it released to terrible reviews and financial ruin. It would have been the first truly bad Final Fantasy game ever released, if not for A Realm Reborn, which was significantly better than the original release.

Blizzard has filed a trademark for Warlords of Draenor, according to a post on MMO Champion. If this turns out to be an actual game, it more than likely is another expansion for World of Warcraft (Draenor is the orc's homeland). Due to backlash from gamers, Ubisoft has decided to drop their controversial Uplay service. The most recent outcry about Ubisoft's version of an online pass is over the Edward's Fleet game mode in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. In order to access the feature, gamers had to enter in the code that came with their new copy of the game, or pay a fee. However, because of the inability for some users to be able to play Edward's Fleet, Ubisoft is now offering it for free. Here's more from their official blog post:
