Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Wii U or Switch?

Like the Twilight Princess, Breath of the Wild will see a release on both the old Nintendo home console platform (Wii U) and their upcoming system, the Nintendo Switch. Deciding which version to play ultimately depends on whether you can 1) wait until you pick up a Nintendo Switch, or 2) if you buy a Nintendo Switch on day one. After seeing hours of in game footage, Breath of the Wild appears to be the gold standard for Zelda titles, meaning if you are a true fan, you will probably want to play it on day one.

But will my day one purchase be just for one game, or will it have the longevity that the Wii U never had. That is my worry as we get closer to the launch of the Switch.

@AbdallahNation (Abdallah) at PaxSouth 2017

Friend of the site, Abdallah (Twitter, YouTube) was at PAX South over the last few days, and besides doing a panel, he was all over the floor checking out the Nintendo Switch. I would normally have numerous impressions for PAX (although I'm partial to PAX East because of my location!) I'm (fortunately...unfortunately?) on vacation for the next couple weeks. As to not deprive you of your Switch news and previews, we've embedded a number of Abdallah's videos below! Be sure to use the links above and follow and subscribe!
