E3 Will Be Open to the Public This Year

Every year, most gamers have to watch E3 streamed online instead of going to the event. E3 has usually only been open to the press (and some celebrities). This year, however, E3 will be selling tickets to the public for the event! Find out how much you’ll have to pay if you want to go to E3 this year below.

Consumer Tickets to E3 will go on sale this Monday, February 13th. There will only be “limited amount of tickets available.” An early bird special ticket will cost $150, meanwhile the regular price will be $250.

On one hand, I think its great that some people in the public will finally get to go to E3. I have to say that I’m very jealous. I just couldn’t afford $150 or $250, plus the plane ticket out there and a hotel. Whew. But whoever gets to go is very lucky.

On the other hand, I doubt the press and some at the gaming industry is happy about this. E3 will be much more crowded this year and it could make the event less special and less fun (or easy) for press and the gaming industry. Here’s hoping that opening the event to the public isn’t a mistake and the event goes well.

Consumer tickets can be bought on Monday at www.E3Expo.com
