Nintendo Needs New Games at NX Launch

The rumors continue to swirl regarding the Nintendo NX, and lately these rumors have revolved around what type of launch lineup we might see. I think a fair assumption would be that we will see the new Legend of Zelda game get a release on both the Wii U and the Nintendo NX, similarly to what was done with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on the GameCube and Wii. However, rumors of other titles are not as appealing, at least not to me. Many have talked about re-releases of Super Smash Bros, Splatoon, and other Nintendo Wii U greats, alongside some ...

Lost Reavers Beta Impressions

Last week, the Lost Reavers Beta came out on the Wii U eshop. There have been no others betas on the Wii U before; the closest thing was the Splatoon Global Testfire. A beta is a really good chance for a developer to test out the online servers of a game. I played Lost Reavers over the weekend and here are my impressions of the game so far. The Lost Reavers Beta has four characters to play as at the…

Activision Launching New Ghostbusters Game in July

If you cannot get enough of Ghostbusters - really, who can get enough, am I right?! - then perhaps you might be interested in Activision's upcoming Ghostbusters game for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. In this cooperative title, you and a band of three friends will roam around New York City removing the ghostly presence, one-by-one. There seems to be a heavy emphasis on cooperative couch play, something only indies are really pushing for now a days. If for no other reason, I hope this AAA game will be the driving force behind a resurgence in couch cooperative play. To ...

Blues and Bullets Episode 2

If you read our review of Blues and Bullets Episode 1 from last year you will know that we absolutely loved what A Crowd of Monsters has done to create a very unique and exceptional experience. Much of what we said in the first episode holds true to the second, so some things will be repeated here. From our play through of Episode 2, however, we can safely say you can log off and just go buy the damn game now. It is that worth it.

Miitomo is a Hit

Miitomo is a hit, and know one should be surprised. While I continue to have my reservations about how long it will continue to be relevant without some significant changes, it appears as if people are happy with it for now. They are really happy, in fact. Today, Nintendo released some data on Miitomo's success since launch. With over 4 million active monthly users, the game is generating 40,000 dollars per day. The average user is playing for 8 minutes per day.

More Thoughts From Me #14: Stop With The Rumors Already!

” Hey listen…I’ve heard that the NX is…”. On the internet, anybody can say anything they want. They can tell you the truth and they can lie too. Oh boy they can lie. People especially love to make up rumors about stuff that they love or think they’ll love. They do that with things they hate too. When it comes to video games, this is pretty common. The worst part though is that fan sites will report these rumors…. Rumors…
