No Xbox One Indie Games till 2014

Indie gaming may have been the hot topic over the last few months, and it seems Sony are trying everything they can to get the most talented developers publishing on their platform. Microsoft have been a little slower to take to the idea, first dismissing the idea of self-publishing, changing their minds and then being rather quiet on exactly what consumers might expect later this year.

Steam Announcements are about Steam, not Game Related

Ever since Steam announced that they'd be announcing three things very shortly, there has been a lot of theorizing. Some of it has been based on actual evidence - Left 4 Dead 3 showing up in a picture from Valve HQ for instance - and some of it has been a little less... scientific - OH MY GOD, THERE ARE THREE ANNOUNCEMENTS, HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED. It seems those ideas are wrong, however, as Marc Laidlaw confirms that the three announcements are specifically ...

Blizzard Sending Free Copies of Mists of Pandaria?

This is one of those stories that will be incredible if true. A Redditor, ShakaShaka, is claiming to have been posted a free boxed copy of Mists of Pandaria. In a post entitled “Blizzard is getting desperate,” ShakaShaka shows off the package he claims was from Blizzard, and some of the convincing marketing materials he received alongside it. Project X Zone Review

Project X Zone should perhaps win the award for the most exciting game with the least descriptive, least exciting name. It sounds like a fantasy extreme sports simulator, like Dead Ball Zone or something of that kin. And yet, behind the name there lies not only a cross-over project perhaps unrivalled in gaming - only beat perhaps by The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen elsewhere - but a decent tactical RPG that will suck you into the genre whether you have ...

Final Fantasy X/X-2 English Trailer

Fresh out of TGS, Square Enix have released an English version of their new Final Fantasy X/X-2 trailer. It shows off a little from X and a little from X-2 and shows off some of the battle sequences we can expect to go through when the Remastered pack launches this Winter - perhaps a confirmation that it won't be available until next year.

New Ground Zeroes Gameplay, English Version Coming Soon

Hideo Kojima and Konami have revealed some new Ground Zeroes gameplay at TGS this morning. It shows off what an actual sneaking mission may be like, without any fast forwards or pre-played gameplay. This is as close as we'll get to actually playing the game for what may be some time, so this is definitely one to cherish.

Sonic Spin-offs a Possibility, if the Game Fit

Sonic the Hedgehog is getting a little long in the tooth now. Although Generations showed him at his best, and there are definitely a lot of people excited for Lost Worlds, there's also some interest in where the series might go next. Might we see some of the large (and ever increasing) roster of minor characters take the centre spot-light, not unlike Luigi in this year's Super Luigi U?

Gamestop Manager Makes Fun of Customer at GTA V Launch, Anger Ensues…

A video has been released of what can only be described as an “incident” at a Gamestop Grand Theft Auto midnight launch. In it, a customer tries to claim his copy of Grand Theft Auto with a business card instead of a picture ID, acts rather badly and holds up the line while boosting up the drama. It’s the reaction of the manager, however, that makes the video noteworthy and, love her or hate her, you’re bound to have a…
