Three Satisfying Kills in Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5 launched today across the world, on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4; if you had the opportunity to read our review-in-progress, you'll know that we absolutely love the game, and almost everything it contains! With a host of new features, and a new formula for game progression, Far Cry 5 is setting itself up to be the best in the franchise, and for good reason. Outside of the fascinating characters, there is plenty to enjoy here, especially those ...

OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead Dev Diary #1

Earlier today, I tweeted out that Far Cry 5 would make the perfect backdrop for a Walking Dead video game, forgetting that one was actually already in the works. Although not by Ubisoft, Overkill Software is working on bringing The Walking Dead to life in a multiplayer FPS experience. Little has been released about this game, but today the developers broke their silence, releasing the first of (hopefully) many Dev Diaries. Check it out below!

Far Cry 5 Review

When a franchise gets into it's 4th or 5th title, sometimes bad habits or complacency sets in and what consumers ultimately get at retail is a paired down, lackluster experience that disappoints in many ways. Ubisoft themselves have been partially guilty of this, especially when you look back on releases like Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed Unity. However, this is a company that has learned from the past, and the recent release of Assassin's Creed ...

Detective Pikachu Review

Even if you are not a long time fan of the Pokémon franchise, there is one thing you probably do know: Pokémon don’t talk to humans and humans don’t talk to Pokémon. Sure, based on emotions of a Pokémon - or even their actions - a good trainer can determine what a Pokémon is thinking or feeling; but to actually talk to one? That is basically unheard of. So when we learned about the popular Japanese Detective Pikachu and that it was going to be brought over to ...

Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom Review

Japanese Roll Playing Games go with PlayStation like butter on bread, but not all JRPG experiences are the same, in terms of storyline, game mechanics, or overall quality. In 2018 - and when compared to what was released in 2017 - I firmly believe that Ni No Kuni 2 rises to the top, as one of the premier JRPG titles currently available on the PS4. While there are some questions around the games overall difficulty, and perhaps lack of variety at times, the ...

LEGO Review: 70617 Temple of the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon

It's always been a huge desire in the Roffel household to put together a large LEGO set, one that comes in at over 1000 pieces. Generally, these are often too expensive and out of our reach, but we found one on uber clearance at Walmart, and realized that 1400 pieces for 59.99 was a pretty good deal. So we purchased, and after putting it together, decided that event a 129.99, this is a magnificent set for any LEGO NINJAGO fan!

BlackBerry Mobile Launches Smartphone Fan League

In terms of weird email headlines, getting notification that BlackBerry was starting a Smartphone Fan League definitely ranks up their pretty high, but when I began surfing through the press release sent over by the PR firm, I was pleasantly surprised, and actually a little bit excited about what the company was proposing! Check out the details below, and take a peak at our BlackBerry Motion review!

Sea of Thieves PSA: Don’t Be That Guy Without a Microphone, plus more!

Yesterday afternoon, Xbox Canada unlocked Sea of Thieves for reviewers, and I quickly jumped in for a few hours to see all the exciting content that wasn't public during the alpha and beta phase of the game. Right from the get-go, Rare did not disappoint, with much more content ready and waiting for me the second I walked out of the tavern and down to my ship. Whether it was looking for chests, taking on undead pirates for loot via a washed up Message in a ...

R.B.I. Baseball 18 Launches Today

If you've owned an Xbox One unit for long enough, you are likely very familiar with the R.B.I. series as it has been the only MLB game available on the console for a number of years now. While the PlayStation 4 has the luxury of having MLB: The Show year in and year out, Xbox fans are left with the relatively good and addicting R.B.I. series. As an arcade baseball fan, I'm more than OK with this being the only MLB offering on the Xbox One.

Pure Farming 2018 Review in Progress

Pure Farming 2018 takes everything from previous farming simulator titles, adds a bit of its own flair, and delivers the most up-to-date, rich farming experience available on any platform right now. While it could get outpaced by the latest Farming Simulator title due out late this year or early next, Pure Farming 2018 will be, and should be, the farming game of choice for all farm simulation fans, and will likely remain so for the next 10-12 months.
