Xbox One X Coverage: Rush – A Disney Pixar Adventure

Having kids in the house for the majority of the day means our Xbox One X coverage has to be pretty selective when they are around. Yesterday, the focus was on Disneyland Adventures enhanced in 4K on the Xbox One X; today, we are looking at another Disney property, Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure. While both games are similar in their scope and audience, they do enough things differently, and have enough variety in franchises, to make them feel distinctly different. With both enhanced in 4K, they are both a no-brainer purchase for that young Disney fan in the family.

Xbox One X Coverage: Disneyland Adventures in 4K

With the Xbox One X rolling out to retailers and consumers tomorrow, Microsoft has done double duty in making sure a good number of review consoles have hit the market, with games that have already received updating to support 4K and HDR. One of those titles, Disneyland Adventures, doesn't seem like the type of game that reviewers would want to use to show of their Xbox One X, but I understand the reasoning: it's a kids game, and Microsoft wants to make sure that every parent knows that getting an Xbox One X isn't just for them.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Review

I'm down with mowing down Nazis as much as the next guy, but I've never been a huge fan of the Wolfenstein series. To be fair, I'm not sure I've ever give the series a fair shake, so when the opportunity to review The New Colossus was presented to me, I figured, why not. I'm glad I did; despite a very bloody and violent story that picks up right after the end of Wolfenstein: The New Order, there is something incredibly satisfying of ridding a future United States from Nazi oppression, a current political discourse I'm unwilling to engage in now. But does this new chapter in the Wolfenstein series do enough, or is just more Nazi killing madness with no ultimate goal, outside of, well, killing Nazis?

Assassin’s Creed Origins Review

Assassin's Creed Origins is a fantastic experience from start to finish, and very few things made my cringe in my current 40 hour play through. Full disclosure: I haven't done everything you can do in this game yet, but am planning to do so. What I have done though, is experience all the new mechanics Ubisoft has included in the title, as well as completed what I consider a pretty good story, at least when compared to other Assassin's Creed titles! How does it rank against all the other big games this year? Read our thoughts below!

Nintendo in Canada Going Strong

Nintendo's numbers world wide in 2017 have been phenomenal, thanks to continually strong sales from the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, but also because of the huge success of Nintendo's latest console, the Switch. It should be no surprise that the Nintendo Switch is doing well in the market right now, at least not if you look at what has been released to date. Big, AAA titles are hitting the system at a pace of once per month, and third party support seems to be present for the time being. Here are a few highlights from the numbers, as they impact Canada, generally considered a great example of what world wide numbers might look like.
