When Warner Bros. and Travelers Tales decide it's time to shake up the LEGO formula the results are generally positive. Shake-ups have resulted in the best LEGO game ever made, LEGO City Undercover, and now the most ambitious LEGO game ever made, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This latest entry in the LEGO franchise is easily one of the franchises' best, and there is no doubt in my mind that it will be a stepping stone for future titles.

LEGO Jurassic World combines everything I liked about LEGO video games and largely removes the only thing I really hated: the combat. The LEGO formula hasn't changed a lot in recent memory and while in writing that sounds like a bad thing, in reality it's been working just fine for a number of years. Sure, small enhancements have been made in combat - changed in LEGO Ninjago Movie Game and kept for this adventure - but overall, the brick busting, stud collecting, puzzle solving characters are back, with more options than ever before. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment recently relaunched LEGO City Undercover on the Nintendo Switch, and it didn't take me long to realize how perfect the LEGO games on Nintendo Switch will be going forward. In the next few month we will be getting two more LEGO games on the system. A relaunch of LEGO Worlds and of course the LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame. Because of its portability, the Nintendo Switch is the perfect home for all of the fantastic LEGO titles!

LEGO City Undercover was an excellent release way back on the Wii U, and got its deserved rerelease on all platforms early this year. Not to lose out on that hype, Travelers Tales has officially launched the LEGO City Fun Pack for LEGO Dimensions, bringing Chase McCain and a cast of other characters over to the LEGO Dimensions universe.
