Titanfall Xbox One Exclusive Because Sony was “Mum”

Titanfall is an Xbox One exclusive (unless you have an Xbox 360 or PC). That's been a source of quiet disappointment for a lot of Sony-focussed arcade shooter fans with PlayStation 4s. It should be presumed that the biggest deciding factor behind the whole thing would be money, and yet Neogaf used Famousmortimer offers a slightly different look of things. Apparently the reason Titanfall ended up on Xbox One is because Sony was too quiet about what their plans ...

New Call of Duty: Ghosts Patch Released

A new patch for Call of Duty: Ghosts on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 has been released. The patch contains a variety of different updates and fixes that should make playing on either Sony console that much more enjoyable. Fans will be especially happy for certain improvements to stability which has, until recently, been quite a hit or miss affair. There are also a few Ghosts updates for each specific console, so if there's been a problem on your device ...

3DS Piracy Cartridge Bricks Console

Nintendo built the 3DS very, very well, and the biggest proof of that is that it's yet to be properly hacked. Last year saw the release of the Gateway, an R4-like device that allowed people with a console below a certain firmware to play downloaded games. It wasn't perfect, but it was piracy, and it looked for a while like this would end up as a perfect solution for those that wanted to play games without paying.

Irrational Games Shutting Down

The studio behind the excellent Bioshock Infinite is being shut down, all but 15 members of the staff being laid off and lead Ken Levine is looking to work on smaller narrative-driven games, he has revealed. This isn't entirely surprising - Levine had previously expressed doubts about the future of the Bioshock franchise - but it isn't good news for anybody involved.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Review

The game nobody ever thought would be made: LEGO Marvel brings together almost every single noteworthy Marvel hero and places them into a world of blocks and building. Combining the likes of Spider-man and Captain America with the bright, colourful humour of the LEGO franchise was a genius move, and it hits almost all the right buttons.

Upcoming PS4 Exclusives Leaked?

An industry insider has revealed some of the upcoming games Sony supposedly has ready to reveal between now and E3. Take it with a pinch of salt - no "insider" ever manages to be 100% right all of the time, perhaps because internal projects are cancelled and shifted around so many times behind closed doors - but it does seem rather like a wishlist for the PlayStation community.

Fallout 4 Not to be Revealed in 2014

The last year has seen more than a few rumours involving Fallout 4. Not a single one of them has so far been proven to be true, with only the vaguer "confirmed at release" rumours still holding any water. It seems any troll with the capacity to purchase a website has looked to Bethesda as a source, perhaps because Fallout fans are so desperate to find out what's going to be coming next. They ought to prepare themselves for a long wait though - it seems Fallout ...

Square Enix have today confirmed to Eurogamer that the PlayStation 4 version of Thief will run at 1080p, whilst the Xbox One version will run at only 900p. It's a minor difference in actuality, and one that they say "you really need good eyes to see the difference."

Typing of the Dead Overkill Review

SEGA's House of the Dead is a gaming institution, not because it's especially good (although it does what it does very well), but because its purposefully shaky action and dialogue makes it stick in the mind. Being chased by a sumo-sized monster? You can't possibly enter the door marked "No Entry." It's silly and harmless, and Typing of the Dead takes that idea and makes it even more outlandish.
