Shadow of the Colossus is one of those must play experiences, regardless of your platform preference, but trying to get someone to go back to their PS2 - or try to even find a PS2 plus a copy of the game - can be a bit challenging. If you haven't had the opportunity yet to play Horizon Zero Dawn, you need to stop reading this article, head to your nearest retailer, and grab a copy. If not for a few heavy hitters from Nintendo, you'd likely be playing the Game of the Year; if you want my opinion on the matter, it stands a chance to win, regardless of what has been released so far this year! To extend the game play experience, the developers have released a large DLC expansion for the game title The Frozen Wilds, which adds a whole new biome for Aloy to explore, and quests to complete.

Assassin's Creed Origins is a fantastic experience from start to finish, and very few things made my cringe in my current 40 hour play through. Full disclosure: I haven't done everything you can do in this game yet, but am planning to do so. What I have done though, is experience all the new mechanics Ubisoft has included in the title, as well as completed what I consider a pretty good story, at least when compared to other Assassin's Creed titles! The Gran Turismo series has been spinning out on the track lately, so Polyphony Digital receded to the shadows to work on the next great racing experience, Gran Turismo Sport. For what this title lacks in content, it more than makes up for in game mechanics, and with a host of racing games available this year on the market, from a new entry in the Forza series to the second iteration of Project Cars, Gran Turismo works hard to stand out from the rest. This is the third consecutive year that GamesReviews is reviewing the yearly Pro Evolution Soccer title, and although we hate to sound like a broken record, the game again is the paramount soccer experience available on console, but is again sorely lacking the features and licences content that is available in FIFA 18. That being said, for those looking for that ultimate experience, PES 2018 is a must own!

Project Cars was a very ambitious title from Bandai Namco a few years ago, and while the aspirations and resources were there, the game fell a bit flat when you compared it to its direct competitors, including the Forza series. Everyone who played Project Cars - myself included - knew there was something there that just needed a bit more work, and thankfully, the developers stuck with it and just recently gave us Project Cars 2. The sequel builds on the original in many ways, making it perhaps the best simulation racing title available on the market.

I've never had the pleasure of playing a YS game before, and after playing YS VII: Lacrimosa of Dana I really wish I had. From the first cutscenes to the moment I was able to take control of the games protagonist, Adol. Although the game isn't without a few faults, it is an outstanding experience from start to finish, one I'm really glad I was able to play.

For the uninitiated, One Piece Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition is an HD port with DLC based on the PS3 classic title released a number of years ago. The game has also been previously available on the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo WiiU. For those who have played through this title in the past, it is much the same, aside from a few graphical changes and a bunch of quests added in. With so many great PS4 titles on the horizon, it's hard to say this is a must play, but for those who have never had the pleasure, I highly recommend it!

About a week head of launch, 505 games sent out a press swag bag to promote the launch of Last Day of June. Knowing this was the same team that published Portal Knights - a game I really loved - I jumped at the opportunity to get a hold of their next published game. When the care package arrived at the door, it included three items: a short note written on a card from 505 Games, a pair of glasses that matched the ones Carl wears in the game, and a box of tissues. The second I saw the tissues, I knew that, in their eyes at least, 505 Games saw Last Day of ...

If you've had the pleasure of playing the original Knack title, you'll remember it was a charming, underrated experience that was mired by mediocre scores from media, but generally favorable scores from actual players. Well, it's 2017 and Knack is back for a second adventure. While not a ton has changed between these two titles, a few years has made Knack 2 a far superior product.
