I firmly believe that one outstanding game can ruin another outstanding game, especially when talking about games that require a significant time investment. Few indie titles get missed because they are generally shorter. Thankfully, if two 'big' indie games launch in the same week they are short enough for me to enjoy both.

Xanadu is an abandoned space ship littered with blood trails, cryptic audio logs, murderous robots, and intense mystery surrounding the events that have taken place there. New The Witcher 3 DLC was announced today, despite the fact that the game still over a month out from launch. Regardless, more content is never bad, unless it comes at the expense of the core game. Thankfully, that doesn't appear to be the case.

After a short and unexpected delay, the second book of the game Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey was released this March. Book One: Reborn, released back in October of last year was the first release for the series after an 8 year break during which the game’s creator Ragnar Tornquist reached out to Kickstarter to get support in making the third game in the franchise. I've just recently begun getting back into the point and click adventure game genre. I plowed through King's Quest 5, 6, and 7, and the Monkey Island series. I was about to jump into another franchise when I saw a tweet from Evolve PR our of BC, Canada. It read along the lines of: "If you are not playing The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 you should be." So I did. If you have fond memories of 90s point and click heyday, you will find lots of love in this awesome title from the people over at KING Art Games.

It's been nearly six years since the two DLC episodes for Resident Evil 5 were released on console. Now they're finally coming to Steam. Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape both got a decent amount of praise when they were released with fans praising the tenser atmosphere Lost in Nightmares above that of even the main game.

If you've been anticipating the latest Fable release and have been saving your pennies, you can now stop. Microsoft and Lion Head Studios announced late last week that Fable Legends will now be free-to-play.
