Binaries Review

I thought I was good at multi-tasking when I played Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons , and having to control each one with half a side , of the controller , but that’s until I played Ant Workshop’s Binaries, because oh man did it make my mind spin. Binaries is a game by Ant Workshop , in which has you controlling two balls , both at the same time ,through 101 levels. Their’s nothing special about the controls in…

Twisted Fusion Wii U Has Been Announced For Early October

Developer Leuvsion announced on twitter today that their game Twisted Fusion (Wii U) will be coming out in October. I remember hearing about this game years ago but haven’t thought about it in awhile. The developer did bring a Twisted Fusion X Blok Drop U crossover game to the Wii U and it was pretty good. Soon we’ll get to see if Twisted Fusion itself will live up to all the time and work that the developer has put into…

Off and on I’ve heard of a game called Gurumin coming to the 3DS, but I didn’t know what the game was. I think I might have seen some early footage of the game too. Still, the game didn’t stick in my mind. Then, Nintendo posted a trailer for the game today. Wow. I was blown away! We have the trailer below and my thoughts on the game. Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure will be coming soon to the 3DS.…

What Could’ve Been: Epic Donald Was In Development/Never Made

I’m a huge fan of Epic Mickey. When the game was released on the Wii, I thought it was one of the coolest Disney games ever. Warren Spector, previously developer on Deus Ex, loves Disney and you can tell just by playing Epic Mickey. He and his company, Junction Point, developed a sequel to Epic Mickey and then Disney shut the developer down. Spector has always talked about how he would have loved to have done a Ducktales game, but…

Yooka-Layee Gamescom Trailer

Gamescom has started in Germany and while not a lot of news comes out of the convention (its not E3), there are occasionally some cool things that appear out of the event! One such cool thing is a new trailer of the upcoming indie game Yooka-Layee. The game is being made by Playtonic Games, a company made up of former Rare (Donkey Kong Country 1-3 for SNES) employees. We won’t be seeing the game till next year, but this new…

Axiom Verge Will Arrive On Wii U in September

When I first saw Axiom Verge, I just thought it was a Metroid clone. The game didn’t impress me at all. I wasn’t excited about the game coming to Wii U either. Why do we need Axiom Verge when we have Super Metroid? Recently though, I saw another trailer of the game and thought it looked good. Maybe I was wrong about Axiom Verge. Of course, none of knew when the game was coming out for Wii U, so there…

3Souls Episode 1: Nelesa Review

I’m always disappointed when a Wii U game doesn’t use the gamepad much. We’ve seen a lot of indie games and even some Nintendo games, that only use Off-TV play and nothing else. When a game comes along that has unique and fun gameplay that uses the gamepad, such as Affordable Space Adventures, I’m always happy and hoping that we’ll see even more games like it.
