More Thoughts From Me #71: Space, the final frontier…

Captains Log. Stardate 485880028.1. There has never been a great Star Trek video game. There have been some fun ones, but for some reason, no one can ever get Star Trek games exactly right. Building Bases in Portal Knights

I've spent a considerable amount of time building and maintaining a thriving base on the first world in Portal Knights. With the help of family - 2 brothers and a German exchange student to be precise - we have built houses, workshops, farms, and more to house our growing hoards, and to act as a base for all our operations. I've found one thing to be very true about these experiences: it is so relaxing. I never thought this type of game would cause me to relax and unwind, but this definitely has.

Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter – LEGO Review

The LEGO Star Wars theme has remained one of LEGO's most important thanks to new movies and TV shows that keep all the characters - both past and present - at the forefront of young and old minds alike. It seems as if LEGO is launching new Star Wars sets on a weekly basis, and for the most part, they are fantastic sets to put together. Recently, I put together Yoda's Jedi Starfighter, which was a fairly challenging and rewarding build. Check out my full review below the set details!

ARMS Global Testpunch

With the ARMS Global Testfire complete, people have been flooding the internet with streams and opinions on Nintendo's latest IP. For myself, ARMS really reminds me of Splatoon when it was first announced and shown off. Until you get your hands on it, you are pretty skeptical of the overall appeal. I had zero faith in, or desire to play, ARMS, but when you help run a video game website, taking one for the team and playing a game you don't think you will like is a requirement. Surprise surprise: I liked ARMS a lot!

Pokémon Sun and Moon Themed Decks

The Guardians Rising expansion for Pokémon Son and Moon has been a big hit at retail already, with many of the booster packs, decks, and Elite Trainer boxes becoming almost impossible to find. We've already unboxed and reviewed a number of packs earlier, so I hope you will check them out! While I will copy and paste a few of the Guardians Rising details here again, the majority of this review will be looking at the themed decks and how they play in a game!

Fire Emblem Echoes Review in Progress Part 4: Story and Gameplay

Story is always super important in Fire Emblem games. Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates had huge complex stories with a lot of dialogue, in cutscenes and support conversations. Fire Emblem Echoes is no different. For part 4 of our review in progress, we’ll take a look at Echoes’ story, how its gameplay ties into it, and whether or not the story and gameplay so far live up to the previous games. We’ll try to keep things as spoiler…
