Dane White’s reaction to the merger of the PFL and Bellator

Any event directly or indirectly related to the UFC league does not take place without the participation of its CEO Dana White. Therefore, it is not surprising that after the official announcement of the merger between the PFL and Paramount Global, which hosted the Bellator MMA league, the head of the UFC expressed his opinion regarding these events and its consequences for the process of transferring the mixed martial arts league.

White’s reaction to his new opponent

After the official information about the purchase of Bellator MMA appeared, the head of the PFL, Donna Davis, made a rather loud statement. The entrepreneur is confident that the merger of PFL and Bellator will become a serious competitor for the UFC, which will deprive the currently strongest league in the world of its monopolist status and sole leader in the field of mixed martial arts.

Donn Davis’s comment was widely reported in the sports media and, of course, did not go unnoticed by Dane White himself. At a press conference held in Austin, the UFC CEO openly laughed at his “competitor’s” statement. According to White, both organizations are extremely far from the UFC, as evidenced by his statements and comments regarding the unification.

As Dana White states, both Bellator MMA and the PFL are crap organizations that can’t sell tickets to their own fights and that aren’t interesting to the public because no one watches their fights. And their plan to remove them from the leadership pedestal is ridiculous. But the attempt is commendable, so the general director of the UFS wished Donna Davis the best of luck in the world.

And he will probably need it. Despite the fact that the organizations have actually merged, each of them will continue to operate independently. And, according to available information, next year fans of mixed martial arts will be able to watch a joint event between PFL and Bellator. Within its framework, representatives of both organizations will measure their strength.

The media is actively disseminating information that the first joint tournament will be held on February 21. The fights will take place on the territory of Saudi Arabia and will show the audience interesting confrontations between champions of different weight categories:

  • Jesus Pinedo – Patricio Freire (featherweight)
  • Olivier Aubin-Mercier – Usman Nurmagomedov (lightweight)
  • Magomed Magomedkerimov – Jason Jackson (welterweight)
  •  Impa Kasanganay – Corey Anderson (light heavyweight)
  • Larissa Pacheco – Cris Cyborg (women’s featherweight)

And this event, of course, will not go unnoticed by bookmakers. You can place profitable bets on mixed martial arts fights through the application of a famous bookmaker; you just need to install Mostbet AZ yukle on your smartphone and start playing.

Is Dana White Really Not Afraid of a New Competitor?

According to John McCartney, the merger of the two organizations somewhat upset the current head of the UFC. The former referee is confident that Dana White planned to sign top Bellator athletes. However, the merger of the two companies disrupted his plans.

Besides, John McCartney doesn’t believe White’s words that both organizations are crap. The referee is confident that if the CEO truly believed in his statements, he would not have signed Michael “Venom” Page, a 35-year-old fighter.

According to McCartney, Dana White is upset about the event. But at the same time, he is well aware that there are great fighters to be found in Bellator. And White would sign them, replacing some of the old guys from his league and the guys from the Contender League.
