Another Code: Recollection’s Short but Sweet Demo

Another Code: Recollection is coming to the Nintendo Switch next month. If you want to check it out though, there is a free demo of the game on the Nintendo Switch eshop! Here are thoughts on the demo.

Another Code: Recollection is a remake of two games, one that appeared on the DS and the other on the Wii. I never played either one of them before. So I didn’t know what to expect with the demo.

In the demo, you play as Ashley, a 13 year old girl who wants to find out what happened to her father. To do so, she travels to an island with her aunt. They quickly get separated and Ashley wants to find her aunt and her father. Aiding her in this quest is a device that looks a lot like a Nintendo Switch. It can take pictures and it keeps track of all of the people that you meet.

Another Code is an adventure game, which means there is no combat. Instead, you use her device and your puzzle solving skills to figure out where to go next and how to get there. The demo’s path is very linear, so you can’t get lost. And if you suck at solving puzzles, the demo offers a handy help system. If you read far enough, the hints finally just tell you what do! I love this because I suck at puzzles.

The demo is very short, but its incredibly sweet. The graphics, gameplay, and story are all really good. Another Code seems like its going to be an excellent game.

I highly recommend checking out the demo if you have any doubts about the game. If you love Adventure games, then its likely you’ll enjoy the demo and want to check out Another Code: Recollection!

Please stay tuned to GamesReviews.com for more on Another Code: Recollection for the Nintendo Switch. The game comes out on January 19th, 2024.
