Nintendo Returns to Hyrule In A Brand New Warriors Game

Nintendo revealed Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity for Nintendo Switch today! We have first footage, details, and thoughts on the game below.

Wow! What an unexpected reveal today. We had no hint at all that Nintendo and Koei Tecmo would be making a new Hyrule Warriors game. And even bigger than that is that the game is set in the Breath of the Wild universe and 100 years before the first game.

We are going to get to see what happened to Hyrule 100 years before! This was hinted at in Breath of the Wild but never fully shown. Its pretty amazing that Nintendo is letting Koei Tecmo deal with a major part of Zelda lore.

And if that wasn’t enough, the graphics on this game look amazing! Dare I say it: the graphics on this game look better than Breath of the Wild. Possibly. At least as good as but I think it looked a bit better.

The gameplay is Warriors style, so no open world setting like Breath of the Wild but you get to play as Link, Zelda, and the Guardians for sure. Thats pretty cool.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the first game but this new one looks incredible. I won’t be missing out on this! Will you?
