Murder Mystery Machine is Adventure game where you play as detective who is tasked, along with her partner, to solve murders. To do this, you must interview people, look at evidence, and go to your menu where you’ll try to piece all of it together.

Most of the “action” in Murder Mystery Machine takes place in the game’s menu. There is some walking around and dialogue choosing but mostly you’ll be in the menu trying to figure out the Who, What, Where, Why, and How of each murder.

The menu can feel a bit confusing at times and its not always obvious what you have to do next in this game. Thankfully there is a hint button that you can press if you get really stuck and need a push forward.

The game’s visuals are not bad and do their job well enough. Its the game’s sound thats a bit of a disappointment though. The music and sound effects are fine but there is no voice acting whatsoever in this game. And this is a game that really feels like it needs voices to further its stories. Still, Murder Mystery Machine is a good game for those who want to crack the cases!

Murder Mystery Machine won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Its largest focus is on its menu “murder board” and dialogue. There isn’t much action to the game. But those who love to solve good murder mysteries should definitely check this game out!

Murder Mystery Machine gets a 7.5 out of 10.

A digital code was provided for this review. Murder Mystery Machine is now available on the Nintendo Switch eshop!
