Time to Solve A Small Town Mystery: A Look At Jenny LeClue for Nintendo Switch

Jenny LeClue: Detectivú is on the Nintendo Switch eshop right now. I currently playing the game for review. And while my review isn’t ready yet, I wanted to give our readers a look at the game anyway. Is Jenny LeClue: Detectivú worth checking out?

Jenny LeClue: Detectivú is an mystery Adventure game and now its on the Nintendo Switch!

I just want to start by saying I’m a huge fan of Adventure games. So I had an idea that I’d like Jenny LeClue but I had no idea how much…

It turns out that I like Jenny LeClue a lot so far. The game is absolutely charming.

If you know anything at all about Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys or any other children’s detective stories, that may help your enjoyment of Jenny LeClue. Its not necessary but I think it does add a bit of context to the game’s story. LeClue, without a doubt, is inspired by Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys, and other literary children’s books. I love how we even see Jenny LeClue’s story being written as the game goes and we get to see the “author” struggling with his choices!

The main character of Jenny LeClue is a young girl who is a master detective. She solves crimes and she comes from a family of detectives. Until now, the crimes she has solved have been very minor ones: lost items for instance. This time though…she’s trying to solve a murder!

Jenny LeClue is a darker game than you might think by looking at its cute artistic graphics. Jenny runs into danger at full speed. Well, if you let her.

The player has a choice in this game: let Jenny keep running after danger or…not. Though I’m not sure yet if the choices you make really effect the story or not. I’m going to have to replay the game a bit before my final review in order to see if choices in the game really can take Jenny out of some danger.

All I know is that I keep choosing all the dark choices for the most part: have Jenny be really mean to that girl, have her keep sneaking into places, and stealing evidence. I wonder what would’ve happened if I left some of this stuff alone…

Jenny LeClue is a game full of choices. It also has really cool detective modes: finding evidence on people you talk to and solving mysteries by picking the right bits of information. I also like how Jenny LeClue has some interesting gameplay mechanics that you usually don’t see in Adventure games. Sure you pick dialogue and solve puzzles, but there are some other cool things that you do that I won’t spoil here. The gameplay in Jenny LeClue can be very inventive!

So far, I’m enjoying Jenny LeClue: Detectivú a lot. I’m really looking forward to playing more of it, writing my review, and sharing my review as soon as possible right here at GamesReviews.com. Please keep an eye out for it!

Jenny LeClue: Detectivú is now available for the Nintendo Switch. A digital code was provided to us by Future Friends Games!
