Splatoon 3 Direct (Video)

The Splatoon 3 Direct aired today!

A lot of stuff was shown. Whew. Wow. Splatoon 3 looks pretty good. There are parts of it that look very similar to the previous games: Turf War is back, and Salmon Run is back from Splatoon 2. The game also has a Story mode again too.

New additions include a much bigger lobby with lots of features such as ghosts, a new mini-game with cards, many more shops than there were, and a locker room where you can get your own custom locker and visit the lockers of people you fought with recently. The mini-game and the locker room look like really fun additions!

Splatoon 3 will also feature new weapons and clothes and there will be free updates of new things, from clothes and weapons to stages, post launch. Nintendo also confirmed that Splatoon 3 will have a major post launch PAID DLC too. It’ll be very interesting to find out what the paid DLC will be. Hmm.

There will also be a demo for Splatoon 3! It will be on the August 27 from 9am PT to 9pm PT. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for the demo. Everyone who downloads the demo will receive a 7-day free trial code for Nintendo Switch Online but it must be redeemed from 8/25 to 8/31. We already have a Nintendo Switch Online membership and will check out the demo when it launches. We’ll have full impressions of the demo here asap!

Splatoon 3 itself will be fully available to buy on September 9th!
