How to Play Marvel United

Ahead of our full review of CMON (Designer) and Spinmaster’s (Publisher) board game, Marvel United, we wanted to make sure our readers understood the ins and outs of the game. While easy to understand when on the table, it is actually pretty hard to put into words exactly how to play, without just copy-pasting from the games rulebook. Thankfully, Spinmaster and CMON have put together a “How to Play” video on YouTube, which we are linking below.

But first, a bit about what Marvel United is all about, courtesy of the CMON website:

It’s time to become the Heroes you were always meant to be! Designed by Eric M. Lang and Andrea Chiarvesio, Marvel United is a fast-paced cooperative game where players take control of Marvel Super Heroes and band together to thwart the master plans of the most dangerous Villains in the universe. With an all-new visual take by Edouard Guiton, brought to life in fantastic sculpts, Marvel United will challenge you and your friends. Only by standing united will you have any chance of victory

Here is the how to play video:

Overall, or initial impressions of Marvel United have been really, really good. The quality of the components is top notch, but that shouldn’t be a surprise to those who have owned CMON games in the past. Although the initial three villains you play against are pretty easy, things get a bit harder when you follow the rulebook recomendation to remove wild cards from play – then things get decidedly more difficult, and it was fantastic.

But what’s really appealing about Marvel United are the fantastic characters that come with the game – mine are currently being painted by my father-in-law, and we will be sharing pictures of that process in the near future. For now, however, enjoy the how to play video above, and prepare for our full review in the near future!
