Animal Crossing: New Horizons Summer Update – Wave 2 (Trailer)

Nintendo has announced the second summer update for Animal Crossing New Horizons today. Please check out the video below and then come back here for some thoughts on it.

The second summer update for Animal Crossing New Horizons is pretty exciting!

First of all, the Sunday Fireworks events from previous games are being added in next month. I like that Redd will again have a booth where you can buy stuff. You can also has custom design fireworks like previous games too.

But then there are two other exciting additions in the update. Perhaps the most exciting we’ve seen so far.

The Dream Mansion will be returning! This was from Animal Crossing New Leaf. The Dream Mansion let you visit other players towns in a dream. Basically you could look around their town, talk to their animals, and get custom designs. You couldn’t effect their town or talk to a real person there. It was a neat way of checking out what other players were doing with their towns.

In New Horizons, the Dream Mansion is a bit different though. New Leaf has an actual place where you went to visit the dream towns. With New Horizons, you go to your house and go to sleep. Then you meet Luna and she will let you check out some dream towns. It looks very neat. I can’t wait to try it!

Finally, the ability to back up your island (via online) will be added with the next update too. I’m sure everyone is excited about that. None of us want to lose our towns!

Summer Update – Wave 2 will be added on July 30.

After that will be a Fall Update which will, at least, add in the Halloween event. It will most likely add other features as well.
