New LEGO Sets to Celebrate May 4th!

May the fourth be with you. OK, it’s a bit early for that, but it is not to early for The LEGO Group to launch brand new Star Wars themed sets just in time for the unofficial-but-yet-still-official galactic holiday! What I like about the newest lineup of Star Wars sets is that there seems to be items for both the LEGO collector an displayer, and those that just want to have fun. Let’s take a look at a few of the offerings.

New Diorama Sets

Having LEGO to display in my office is pretty high on my list of décor ideas. Call me a nerd, a geek, whatever. I don’t care. My office space is currently covered in LEGO Ideas sets, ranging from The Friends Central Perk set, to the Sesame Street set, to the LEGO Grand Piano. When looking over the new offerings from LEGO, the three new diorama sets instantly caught my eye: the Dagobah Jedi Training Diorama ($109.99), Death Star Trash Compactor Diorama ($119.99), and Trench Run Diorama ($79.99).

All of these sets bring the classic movie scenes to life in LEGO form, especially the Trench Run set. They are beautifully detailed and recreated in brick form, and are wonderful display pieces with the beautiful front plate indicating to gawking fans – let’s face it, they must be fans – what they are looking at.

There are sets for those who just want to play and have fun – in the Roffel household that would be Logan (12) and Lochlan (8). Both kids love Star Wars, and frankly, love LEGO as well. So having brand new sets such as th AT-AT ($949.99), Boba Fett’s Starship ($69.99), and Imperial Armored Marauder ($49.99) will make the perfect May 4th gift.

There are of course tons of other LEGO options available to celebrate the galactic holiday, such as Warner Bros. Games LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Or, do a deep dive on the LEGO website to see what other Star Wars sets are ready to be added to your collection today.
