Mario Kart World Direct 4.17.2025 (Video)
The Mario Kart World Direct aired today, April 17th, 2025. Check it out below and then come back our thoughts on what was shown.
The Mario Kart World Direct spent a lot of time recapping information we already knew and then did reveal some modes, like Time Trials and Battle Mode. We saw that the world is pretty huge and there are some missions to find in Free Roam. There was even a surprise during the Game Chat bit where it looks like you take control of a semi! The game looks really great.
Even so we were surprised that there was nothing really earth-shaking during the Direct. Yes some new stuff was revealed but why call this a Nintendo Direct? It was only 15 minutes long, it spent a lot of time recapping and then showing some new stuff, though nothing too unexpected. Okay that semi thing but otherwise…
Mario Kart World should be an excellent game but is it worth $80? That remains to be seen. We think that each player will have to decide that for themselves.
