Disney Magic Kingdoms: Honey Tree Trouble Event

Winnie the Pooh and the gang have descended on Disney Magic Kingdoms, and trouble is brewing around the Honey Tree. Begin the event as Rabbit – and purchase Tigger for 200 Gems if you like – and save Pooh from his Honey Tree, all the while unlocking 100 Acre Wood favorites like Piglet, Kanga, Eeyore, and more! Do you have what it takes to complete the event before time runs out? Read more on it below, and let us know if you are excited to see these loveable friends roaming your Magic Kingdom!

As always, we are playing Disney Magic Kingdoms on our Google Pixel 2, provided to us by Google Canada. The Pixel 2 is a great multimedia phone with two front facing speakers for an optimum audio experience, whether playing games, watching movies, or listening to music! Read our review here.

Seven new characters are entering play over the next 25 or so days, and all of them bring their own set of objectives, activities, and fun characteristics to your park. While Tigger is a premium purchase – 200 gems – the remaining characters can be unlocked as you play through the story. You’ll begin with Rabbit, but will soon have the ability to unlock Winnie the Pooh, Kanga, Eeyore, Roo, and finally Piglet.

There is also a fair number of new attractions to add to your park, including homes for Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh, and Eeyore, and a pool of honey pots that any fun-loving bear would love! Along with these attractions come new stalls including a Honey Pot Stall and a Winnie the Pooh Hat Stand. While you are roaming your park collecting the random chests that pop up, you might also unlock new decorations, namely the Tiny Treehouse and the Friendship Statue. When you add in the new parade float – at a cost of 50 gems – there is a ton of new content to dig into with this event!

Premium Content Out of the Gate

Right from when the event starts, you will have the option to purchase Tigger for 200 gems, and the Winnie the Pooh parade float for 50 gems. Here is our breakdown on each:

Eeyore – Eeyore comes in a bit more expansive than Tigger at 275 Gems – or can be purchased with a Gems pack for 5.99 right now! – but if you have the Gems to spend, Eeyore is a pretty good buy! He will provide you with many event currency opportunities, and will help in welcoming Winnie the Pooh!

Is Eeyore Worth it? Again, it comes down to how much you plan to play the Honey Tree Trouble event. Without Eeyore, it can be done if you are diligent in updating your game and tapping on your characters. But if you are a bit more of a casual player, having Eeyore will speed up the process immensely. And, who doesn’t want Eeyore in their parks!?

Tigger – Tigger can be yours for 200 gems, and will provide you with many event currency opportunities, event token opportunities, and much more.

Is Tigger worth it? While the price is steep, he will be incredibly valuable in guaranteeing you will finish this event with average play times. For those who go back to their kingdom often throughout the day, you can probably finish without Tigger. For those who are a bit more casual, Tigger goes a long way in helping you complete the event.

Winnie the Pooh Parade Float – The Winnie the Pooh parade float will set you back 50 gems, but it will give you the chance of earning 5 gems or 450 magic potions. On top of that, players will get a chance at a Kanga Apron token, which will be valuable when completing this event.

Is the Winnie the Pooh Parade Float Worth It? – I’d sooner assign those 50 gems to Tigger if you cannot afford to do both. Like any float, you have the ability to earn back the gems you have spent, and you cannot put a price on that. There is a guarantee that over time, you will recoup your 50 gems from running floats. That being said, there could be other things during this event you might value more.

Our Impressions of the Event

So far, we have really enjoyed our time playing through the Honey Tree Trouble event, and cannot wait to unlock more characters and get more buildings for our park. As we progress, we will make sure to get a character page and buildings page up as soon as possible!
