The Mass Effect Trilogy Could Come to Next-Gen

mass effect

There are a sizeable group of people who are hoping to one day play the game they loved last-gen in an improved, HD Remaster-Plus style on either the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4. It happened with Tomb Raider, it almost happened with Skyrim, and now it might just happen with the Mass Effect Trilogy.

A few months ago, Twitter user Shinobi602 took to Twitter hoping to get an answer as to whether he could ever expect to replay Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 on a next-gen system. It’s a fair question, especially considering Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has done quite well, and release schedules and exclusivity on the franchise means there are people who’ve played one, two or none at all ahead of Mass Effect 4. It makes sense. It took a long time to get a response, but the answer finally came. And, surprisingly, it wasn’t an out and out no.

@shinobi602 @YanickRRoy We have discussed that internally. If we can put solid plans together we’ll share. Great to hear you’re keen

So it’s a possibility. If there seem to be enough people interested, and if it won’t take too much time and effort (not to mention money), it could happen. When is another question entirely.
