Pokémon Trading Guard Game – Welcome to Alola!

In our effort to provide even more content for our diverse readers, we are bringing you the best in toys and games reviews! This week, we are providing an update on the Pokémon Trading Card Game, with the Pokémon Sun and Moon – Guardians Rising release set for May 5th. Here is what the Pokémon Company is saying about this upcoming release,

Visit Alola for Pokémon fun, from the beaches to the mountain peaks – and discover new traditions and new challenges! Meet the island guardians Tapu Koko-GX and Tapu Lele-GX, and sharpen your skills with Kahuna Hala and Captain Mallow. Be amazed by the secret powers of Kommo-o-GX, Lycanroc-GX, Metagross-GX, Sylveon-GX, Toxapex-GX, Vikavolt-GX, and many more. Come to the islands, and seize the power of the Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon- Guardian Rising expansion!

If you haven’t had the opportunity to immerse yourself in Pokémon Sun & Moon, we strongly suggest you grab a copy for your 3DS. The game is fantastic, changes up the formula, and introduces a host of new characters and Pokémon for you to enjoy. We had the opportunity to review and write numerous articles about it, thanks to the generous support of the Pokémon Company and Nintendo of Canada.

Here are more details on what to expect, as well as some sample pricing,

You will be able to grab your expansions sets at ToysR’Us in Canada and the United States, as well as participating hobby shops and GameStop (EB Games) locations. Remember, each pack of cards comes with a code to be redeemed via the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, which we also highly recommend!

A number of Sun and Moon cards are already available at retail, although if my city is any indication, they are a hot commodity as high profile retailers have had a hard time maintaining stock. That being said, we’ve been able to snag a few packs and are enjoying the new Pokémon and cards as much as we ever have. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to do a full review of this expansion upon launch!
