Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition a Love Letter to Zelda Console Titles

When playing through Hyrule Warriors over the weekend, I quickly realized something that I've probably known for a long time: Hyrule Warriors is a love letter to all the previous Zelda console titles, and really brings all those nostalgic feels back when playing in specific areas, using specific characters, and hearing specfici tunes. Although the game isn't what you might expect from a Zelda experience - don't let that deter you Zelda fans! - there is something really great here that long time console franchise fans will love!

Re-launching Tropical Freeze a Precursor to a new Donkey Kong Country?

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is re-launching on Nintendo Switch, after a lackluster performance on the Nintendo Wii U. According to VGChartz, the title sold roughly 1.72 million units on the Wii U, being far outpaced by Nintendo's other major franchises, including Mario Kart 8 (8M+), Super Mario 3D World (5M+), New Super Mario Bros (5M+), and Super Smash Bros (5M+). The question ultimately becomes: is re-launching Tropical Freeze on Nintendo Switch a precursor to a new Donkey Kong Country game on the system, or simply a way for Nintendo - 4 years ...

Nintendo Switch Sales Surpass Wii U

Although no one will be surprised that this has happened, many will be surprised it happen this quickly. As of Nintendo's latest financial release, the Nintendo Switch is sitting just shy of 15 million unit sold, which easily topples the lifetime sales of the Wii U, which currently sits at roughly 13.5 million. Once thing, though, that Nintendo has never stalled out on, within the Mario Party franchise, are the mini games. When compared to any other home party title, Mario Party has some of the best - if not these best - mini games available, and to ...

Despite New System, Nintendo has an OK 2016

I think 2016 was fairly kind to Nintendo, despite the understanding from both consumers and media that a new system was on the horizon that would definitely kill off the Nintendo Wii U, but could also put a damper on 3DS production. Despite this news, Nintendo still managed to release a number of great titles in 2016, a few of which we gave huge scores too!

PDP Launches new amiibo Stands

There are people in this world how are outstandingly creative, and when it comes to creating home made shelving units to hold their plethora of amiibo, they create something that wows the internet. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people, so until this past week, most of my amiibo have been buried in a storage container beside my television. Sure, my favorite Yoshi amiibo was proudly displayed on the PDP Warp Pipe amiibo stand, but that was about it. This August, PDP launched more amiibo stands at great prices, and were kind enough to send me a few. Look ...
