Nintendo Switch Games That Need Mouse Support

A lot of original Nintendo Switch titles are getting patches to work on Nintendo Switch 2, and here are just a few of the games we feel need to take advantage of the Nintendo Switch 2 mouse support via updates and patches! Let’s get going!

Two Point Series: At the time of writing, the Nintendo Switch does not currently have a version of Two Point Museum available, but we assume that will be coming at any time now. When that does launch on the Nintendo Switch 2, I would assume it will come complete with mouse controls. Ideally, SEGA will also update Two Point Campus and Two Point Hospital with similar controls, to make the entire experience more like a PC, and probably, more enjoyable. The fine tuning that a mouse provides on PC would be amazing on console!

Rollercoaster Tycoon: There are a number of RollerCoaster Tycoon games available on Nintendo Switch. Released late last year, RollerCoaster Tycoon classic is easily the best of the bunch, and the team behind the game has been keen to update it. Since launch, the game has seen a number of improvements, including the inclusion of touch screen controls. Now it’s time for that team to take another step and add-in mouse support. This would be a game I would play again and again if it used Joy-Con 2 mouse support, and I hope to see it!

Mario Maker 2: This one is a no-brainer! It’s a Nintendo published title, and it’s actually a bit odd that this wasn’t one of the games to get a paid update like The Legend of Zelda, and the upcoming re-releases of Mario Party Jamboree and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. This makes me thing one of two things: they are either working on an update for the game to launch around the holidays, or a Nintendo team is deep into development on Mario Maker 3. Either way, this is a game that is begging for mouse support, and the Joy-Con 2 is perfect for it!

There are likely dozens of other games that could benefit from mouse controls. Stardew Valley comes to mind, as playing on a PC is so much easier and more efficient than on console. Other candidates would be the plethora of farming simulation games, which could use a similar Joy-Con 2 mouse support like Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. What games do you think need an update?
