Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon Coming to Wii U?

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon may just be coming to Wii U. Although nothing has been confirmed by Nintendo, the previously 3DS exclusive has been listed on Newegg although none of the information on the page – except for a Wii U box art – really implies this couldn’t just be a mistake.

With that said, someone went to the hassle of making (or finding?) a Wii U cover for the entry so this could definitely be something that’s happening.

The posting was later confirmed by an employee of New Egg as coming directly from the manufacturer, although many of these leaks tend to be in some way guaranteed to be from the source. It rather depends on whether the New Egg employee considers Nintendo their manufacturer or whether they get their games from a second party. If so, the second party may be making assumptions or have access to early information (ahead of the port being cancelled in the idea phase) or any other explanation.

In short: this is very much possible but a single post on a retailers website – or even a series of posts across multiple websites – isn’t necessarily proof that Nintendo will be shipping Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon to the Wii U any time soon.

Of course, any Wii U owner who missed out on the 3DS classic should definitely have their fingers and toes crossed.
