Lovefilm Apologises After “Third Party” Games Announcement, Month of Free Games

Lovefilm have today released an email to subscribers explaining their changing gaming services, and also apologising for not releasing the news themselves. You may have already heard reports about changes to Games rental as part of the LOVEFiLM service. We're very sorry if any information about service changes reached you by third party or media reports, rather than first coming from us.

Blake Stone Source Code Uncovered, Released to Fans

Apogee Software have discovered the Blake Stone source code and are releasing it to fans. Blake Stone: Planet Strike was a 1994 FPS from around the same time as Doom. Nearly twenty years after its release, the source code (which was presumed missing) will allow fans to look into how Blake Stone was built.

Jane Jensen’s Moebius – Hands-On

Calling a game “Jane Jensen's Anything” means that people are going to buy it. And for good reason too. Jensen designed and directed the classic Gabriel Knight adventure games; still considered some of the best in the genre. She also designed the underrated Gray Matter a few years ago, and she consulted on the recent indie adventure series Cognition. Her new game is Jane Jensen's Moebius, a spiritual successor to the Gabriel Knight series that lets players control Malachi Rector, an adventurous antique appraiser who becomes entangled in a murder investigation.

New Vita Games Confirmed for Early 2014

During a panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles this past weekend, NIS America announced two new Vita games for 2014. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Demon Gaze – a game faintly resembling the Persona series – will be coming to Europe and North America in “early” 2014, exclusively for the PS Vita.
