Welcome to Jurassic Park! In this collection you’ll find seven games from the past of this dinosaur franchise. What else will you find? Is this a collection worth checking out? Here is our review of Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection for the Nintendo Switch.

The Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection has seven games, one of which is a special editon of another one. The games are based on the original Jurassic Park movies of course and largely feature Dr. Grant from the first one movie. There’s tons of dinosaur fun to be had with these games. The stories are not as important as the gameplay.

The seven games span from the NES, Super NES, Gameboy, and Genesis. All of them play well on the Switch for the most part. The first person mode in the Super NES Jurassic Park hasn’t aged too well and doesn’t work great with the analog stick. We definitely recommend the d-pad for that. Though overall the games control well and run well too.

There are not many extras in this collection and thats a shame. There is a music player which has a super cool menu that we won’t spoil. And some of the games have hand drawn maps which is awesome. Otherwise the extras are pretty lacking especially when compared to other collections on the Switch like the Cowabunga Collection and even the Castlevania Collection. We would’ve loved to have seen the manuals for each game, behind the scenes tibits, and perhaps the game’s connections to the movies.

Despite the lack of extras, Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is a real treat. The games all run well on the system and whether you’ve played them before or not, they are worth checking out. You’ll love them a lot if you love the Jurassic Park movies! You shouldn’t expect state of the art graphics though.

The Jurassic Park games are retro games and so no, the graphics are not the best on the Switch but they all look fun, even the oldest NES game. The menus are well designed too. We especially love the start screen and music player!

Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is a great addition to the Nintendo Switch. Yes, this collection could’ve used more extras but it does have seven games and if you’re a Jurassic Park fan, this collection is a must have!

Thanks to Limited Run Games for providing a digital code for this review. Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is now available on the Nintendo Switch eshop!
