Do you like games like Silent Hill or Alan Wake? Then you may want to check out the newest spooky Xbox Series game. Here’s our Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden review.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a spooky action/adventure game. The story takes place back in the 1800s in New England. The two main characters of the game are Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith. The two of them are Banishers, people who get rid of ghosts. They come to America to help an old friend and get come up in an adventure that’ll change their lives forever.

There’s a twist early on in Banishers that we won’t spoil but its absolutely shocking and propels the story, your choices, and the gameplay as it goes forward. The story is gripping. And not only is the main story great but the side quests, taking on haunting cases and helping other people, are fantastic. The haunting cases feel like something out of Alan Wake. The story and subquests are the best part of Banishers; the gameplay is pretty good too.

In Banishers, you’ll be switching between the two main characters a lot. You can do this by pressing just one button. Its super easy and it works really well. Each of the characters have their own unique abilities and play differently. The controls in this game are really good. Though, it would’ve been nice to have a lock-on option, to target and keep enemies within eyesight. The game’s camera loses track of enemies easily in battle. This is a common problem in 3D action/adventure games though.

The game’s world is very linear, with some areas being bigger and some exploration with secret areas and hidden treasures to find. Despite not being an open world game, sometimes it can be easy to lose your way. Its not always obvious how to get to certain areas. Also Banishers does tend to love its places to jump over or under and climbing. You’ll be doing a lot of climbing. It can all feel repetitive at times, but most of the time its a lot of fun. The supernatural abilities that your characters have make combat and exploration a lot more fun.

Banisher’s excellent story and fantastic characters, mixed with plenty of surprises and ever-expanding powers makes the game a lot of fun. If you love games like Alan Wake and Silent Hill, you’ll love Banishers. The game’s graphics are pretty great too.

Banishers is a great looking game. All the characters in the game, from the main ones to the NPCs, are detailed and unique. There is some repetitiveness in random enemies though. Places you visit look great too! Its an excellent looking game overall.

The voice acting in Banishers is really good and all of the sound effects and music are wonderful. Banishers is an excellent game overall.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a spooky game that fans of Silent Hill and Alan Wake will want to play. Its story, graphics, and voice acting are the major standouts of the game. That said, its gameplay is pretty good too. This is a game that horror fans will not want to miss.
