Steel Series X100 Headset

Not everyone has a hundred or more dollars lying around that they can spend on a gaming headset. Some people try to use cheap headsets or even earbuds and microphones that were packed in with their most recent cell phone purchase. Steel Series is attempting to change that by releasing a very affordable, 59.99 headset. For the price, there may not be a better budget headset on the market than the Steel Series Siberia X100.

Skylanders amiibo A Sensational Idea

When Reggie and Activision announced at E3 2015 that Nintendo characters were coming to Skylanders, I was fairly skeptical, especially since it was also announced that these characters would also be amiibo compatible. Now that I have the figures in my hands - thanks to Activision who saved me a lot of money (more on that later) - I can say my skeptism was unfounded. While I wish the characters modeled an amiibo more than a Skylander, the final figures are still excellent little toys that are loads of fun to play with in Skylanders SuperChargers.

Blood Bowl 2 a Great Recreation

If you are not familiar, Blood Bowl is actually a Warhammer Table Top game that is enjoyed by a fairly niche group of individuals. With its launch on console, I think a wider audience will be found. Whether these people will stay to play, however, is the real question. Despite a lackluster tutorial system which inevitably requires players to learn-as-they-play, there is a lot to love in Blood Bowl 2. Don't be confused, however, Madden fans. If you are dedicated sports game fan, this probably is not the game for you.

Rainbow Six Siege Beta Impressions

Outside of Assassins Creed, Ubisoft has made a name for themselves via the Rainbow Six franchise. The game has always been a lot of fun, focusing on team game play. Rainbow Six Siege is no different. Armed with a number of tools, players are let loose to fight each other in 5v5 multiplayer matches, and from what I have played, it is really, REALLY fun.

Madden NFL 16

NFL Madden is one of the most successful franchises released at the end of every summer just before the NFL has it’s opening kickoff of the season. Each and every year it gets us pumped for the upcoming year in the NFL and its players. NFL Madden 16 is no different this year as it comes back more fierce and intense than previous releases. The annual franchise debuted back in 1990 and more than twenty five years later it still gets fans energized and kicks in revenue for EA Sports and the NFL.

FIFA 16 Review

FIFA 16 is out today across the world - although EA Access Members on Xbox One have been playing for almost a week now. With every sports franchise, the question almost always becomes, "How much has this title improved on last years game." Sometimes, the improvements are subtle, making consumers decide whether to actually upgrade last years game over this years improved version.

Corpse of Discovery Review

Alone and helpless, abandoned in space with only one clear mission – return to Earth. This is the mindset we enter controlling the silent protagonist of Phosphor Games’ new title, Corpse of Discovery. Released in late August of this year, this indie exploration game reaches into the stars to present a sentimental story about fear, loneliness, and death. Not the first (or the last) alone-in-space game to reach our screens, Corpse of Discovery works hard to create not just a game but a story that will affect players in a big way. In some ways it succeeds, and ...

NHL 16 Review

NHL 15 was a lackluster effort from EA, and everybody knew it. The excuses were many - new hardware to deal with for example - but they were all the same excuses other sports titles could have used, but didn't. NHL 16 had a lot of rectifying to do, not only with the sport it was trying to accurately recreate, but also the fan base who 'went home' disappointed after a night at the rink in NHL 15. So, does NHL 16 fix all the problems present in last years premier hockey title?

Mad Max Review

Mad Max on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, came out at the worst possible time. Sure, the movie was fairly successful, but for a game based on a movie to come out right around Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is retail suicide. And that is very, VERY unfortunate because Mad Max is definitely worth the price of entry, especially if you like variety in your games.

Until Dawn Review

Over the course of the history of gaming, game designers have allowed players minimal to no choices regarding how the storyline of their game ends. Perhaps they might give the player a chance to decide to spare or kill an enemy NPC or let them pick their party members – but never decisions big enough to feel important. With the emergence of games like the Telltale Series, players are getting more and more power allotted to them to influence their final ending. Games like Silent Hill and Bioshock started to allow players to have one of three to five different ...
