Kalypso

I've been a fan of trains ever since I was young; I've owned electric train sets, LEGO train sets, and have played my fair share of train simulation titles. Nothing ever grabbed my attention, however, like the great old title, Transportation Tycoon Deluxe. Although not entirely based on just trains, it was the main element to the game. I enjoyed moving goods and people from one site to another, growing cities, and amassing some riches. When I saw Railway Empire from Kalypso - the same company behind the Tropico series - I knew the game was going to be relatively good. That being said, I always have a few reservations about playing tycoon and simulation style titles on a console, using a controller. More than half the time, the controller just cannot replicate the feel of the mouse and keyboard, and many games in this style fall flat because of pure controls. After only a few hours with Railway Empire, however, and I can safely say that this title does not suffer from that in any way.

Kalypso has today announced that their huge strategy/management sim Tropico will be making the jump to PlayStation 4 in the near future. Tropico 5 has you control an island over hundreds of years, adapting your playing style as your people learn to want and need new things.

The combat in Dark sucks. By extension, this means almost all of Dark sucks, as it's built, by and large, around this idea of combat. You see, it's a little known fact that vampires can only clumsily walk up to enemies, bash them over the head or suck their blood, making loud slurping noises like granny at Christmas and alert everybody within a five mile radius.
