Minecraft’s release date on PS4 & Vita announced


In a recent post on, creative writer Owen Hill has posted that a “slightly improved” version of Minecraft is on its way to Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita this August.

Hill has also considered those gamers who have bought Minecraft previously on different systems, stating “We’ve decided that letting current players upgrade for a small fee is the best way to show our appreciation.”

Mojang has revealed that upcoming Xbox One and PS4 version’s of the game boast larger worlds and greater draw distances than their previous counterparts.

Minecraft’s players will also be able to import their current worlds from their Xbox 360/PS3 to their respective new generation consoles.

Minecraft is available now on PC, Mac, Xbox 360 & PS3. Coming soon in August to Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita.
