#StayHomeAndPlay – Coronavirus, Contests, and more!

With the rapid spread of the Coronavirus, or COVID-19 as it is now referred, we as an outlet hope the gaming public takes every necessary precaution to not only protect themselves, but to protect those around them too. While some may pass this virus off as a common flu, we know by now that this is far from the truth. When people are asked to quarantine, stay home from work, and avoid contact with others, it is not because governments and health professionals are worried about middle aged gamers – it’s because they are worried about it spreading to the vulnerable populations – the elderly, young babies, and those with weakened immune systems. So, here at GamesReviews.com, we want you to take precautions, but have fun doing it as well!

Here are a few tips from the World Health Organization – more details here.

  1. Wash your hands frequently, and for at least 20 seconds.
  2. Maintain a social distance of at least 1 metre.
  3. Avoid touching your face (i.e. scratching your nose, rubbing your eyes, etc.)
  4. If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early!

We also have a general GamesReviews.com tip: stop buying up all the damn toilet paper. One thing COVID-19 does not cause is diarrhea. Just stop!

At this point, you might wonder why we have an Animal Crossing banner on top of our page – it’s pretty simple really: we want to give away a copy of Animal Crossing to one of you! Secondary prizes will be given out over the next few months as well, so stay tuned for that! How can you enter?

Be sure to follow @adamroffel and @gamesreviewscom so we can issue you a prize if you win!

  1. Use the hashtag #StayHomeAndPlay on Twitter and be sure to tag @gamesreviewscom and @adamroffel so we can see your entry! Let us know how many hours of video games you play each month!
  2. Comment below the article with games you would play if required to self isolate, or if you’ve been sent home for an extended period of time.
  3. Please respect others around you. Just because you might not be vulnerable, doesn’t mean others aren’t!
  4. Wash your hands, post a picture to Twitter, and hashtag #StayHomeAndPlay and #WashYourHands – be sure to tag @adamroffel and @gamesreviewscom so we can register your entry!

That’s it folks! Good luck!
