More Thoughts From Me: Rayman’s Return in Mario and Rabbids

Last week, the final Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope DLC came out. And it featured the introduction of a new character to the game: Rayman! Is it fun playing as Rayman in Mario and Rabbids? I have some thoughts on this DLC.

Last week, the final Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope DLC came out. This one features a new world and a new character. Rayman has joined Mario and Rabbids. And…

Its awesome! This final DLC is, without a doubt, the best of the three DLCs. The first one was just a bunch of battles and didn’t amount to much. The second one was just more of what we got in the regular game. This final DLC, however, is fantastic.

So what makes this Rayman DLC so good? Please forgive me, I’m about to spoil some of the DLC, so if you don’t want to know anything about it, don’t read any further. Just go get this DLC…

Well, the new DLC starts out with the player controlling Rayman. You’ll handle some battles alone with him and eventually meet up with Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach. You’ll see that Rayman adds in some new abilities and makes the tactical battles of Mario and Rabbids even cooler.

As for the new world you explore, that takes place in a brand new hub: a Hollywood-like studio and there are three different sets to visit along with some other areas outside of them to explore. The new story is a lot of fun and each of the three different sets are unique. This new world and Rayman (he’s a blast) make this DLC the best out of the three Sparks of Hope has. If you can only play one of the DLCs, this should be the one.

Sparks of Hope is a really great game. And while I wasn’t too impressed by the first two DLCs, this new Rayman DLC is well worth buying. Its great to see Rayman back and hopefully Ubisoft will do even more with him. I loved Rayman Legends. It would be cool to see another platformer with Rayman. Heck, I’d even play a turn-based rpg with him. It worked for Mario!

If you have Sparks of Hope, you need this DLC in your life.

More Thoughts From Me is an opinion column. The thoughts expressed here are mine and mine alone. You know, its been awhile since I’ve played Rayman Legends…
