Lego DC Super-Villains First Impressions

Yesterday, I received a review code for Lego DC Super-Villains for the Nintendo Switch. I have been playing it some and I wanted to offer my first impressions of the game! What do I think of Lego DC Super-Villains so far? I’m a comic book fan. I will admit that I’m more of a Marvel fan than a DC fan but I do like DC Comics a lot. I’m especially a fan of The Flash, Green Lantern, Batman, and Superman.…

More Thoughts From Me #141: That 80’s VideoKid

I was born in the 1980s. So for me, there is a lot of nostalgia to be found in those years. The 90s, not so much, but there was so much I loved in the 80s. From cartoons to tv shows to movies, the 80s has cool stuff in spades. When you get a movie (Ready Player One) or a video game, such as The VideoKid, thats all about taping into 80s nostalgia than I’m interested. I recently got The…

Why are Mobile Casino Apps So Popular?

I wonder how much Steve Jobs realised that when Apple launched their very first-generation iPhone with the quote that ‘this is going to change the way in which we communicate with each other’ how very big that change would be? If you can remember back to pre-smartphone days, our phones were mainly used for calls and texting. Playing a game using our mobile was, quite frankly, a terrible experience with games crashing halfway through and the majority of phones housing…

Google Pixel 3 XL Review-in-Progress – The Camera 9.5/10

Last week, our good friends at Google Canada sent us a #GiftFromGoogle that included a Google Pixel 3 XL, a Google Pixel Charging Stand, and the Google Pixel 3 XL official case. Over the past few days, we've been putting the phone through its paces, and are happy to say that overall, we are incredibly impressed with the latest from Google. While we haven't had the device long enough to put a final score and verdict on it quite yet, we wanted to talk about a few of our favorite feature so far, beginning with the all new Camera features.

Google Pixelbook Review

I’ve never been a big proponent of Chromebooks for various reasons, mostly because I often found them under powered for what I wanted to do. But after taking the Pixelbook from Google for a spin, my tune on the product and its usefulness completely changed. While never meant to be a primary device, the Google Pixelbook has been an excellent companion device for the running of GamesReviews.com, and now I cannot even imagine keeping things up and running without it.

The strategic connection between social networks and online gaming

There is a very famous adage, “It takes two to tango” which means – for a given situation to arise it requires a push from at least two people. Much like how a success story or a disaster cannot be attributed to a single person, the popularity of online gaming among the masses cannot be attributed to the proactive strides brought in by the gaming industry alone. Part of its success has also been due to the platform that social…
