Hot Wheels® Action Epic Crash Dash™

blank

The Hot Wheels® Action Epic Crash Dash™ features five exciting crash zones with two loops and a motorized booster to keep cars moving. It comes with 1 Hot Wheels® car, but the challenge – and fun– lies in how many cars can be racing at once before there’s an awesome crash. The track components are easy to assemble and are compatible with other Hot Wheels® tracks, so kids can experiment with their builds. Collapse the set for easy and convenient storage. Colors and decorations may vary.

We had the opportunity to go hands on with this one a few weeks ago and really enjoyed our time with the toy. It’s a bit loud, but the kids had a blast loading in cars and trying to make them not – or sometimes try to make them – crash! The quality of the pieces is top notch, and my kids were able to put this together all by themselves, outside of putting the batteries into the device. Be warned, this requires 4 D-batteries, so make sure you have those on hand when you purchase this toy for them this holiday season!

This is one of the better Hot Wheels products my kids have used, and it’s been getting a lot of use in the last few weeks. They love it, and your kids will too!

  • Ages: 5Y+

  • Availability: Walmart, Toys R Us, Loblaws, Mastermind, Indigo, Winners

  • MSRP: $89.99 CAD

UNO® Quatro™

blank

Fans of UNO® card games will love the UNO® Quatro™ family game, which combines the challenge of getting four in a row with the strategy of matching colors or numbers. On their turn, players slide their tiles into 1 of the 7 trays, strategically trying to maneuver the tiles to get four-in-a-row. The tiles must touch another tile with either the same color or number, and special Action Tiles change the game by making other players work with fewer tiles, pushing a tile out of a tray, and even swapping the position of two trays! Makes a great gift for UNO® fans and game lovers ages 7 and up.

  • Ages: 7+

  • Availability: Walmart, Toys R Us, Canadian Tire, Amazon, Mastermind, Indigo, Well.ca

  • MSRP: $29.99 CAD

MEGA™ Pokémon™ Forest Pokémon Center

blank

Welcome to the Pokémon Center! This iconic location is now a buildable set featuring four familiar faces: Pikachu, Chansey, Eevee, and Togepi. Turn the crank to see Chansey dancing, Pikachu and Eevee playing peek-a-boo, and Togepi opening the door. Combine with other Adventure Builder sets to create an expanded Pokémon world with motion.

We also had the opportunity to take this set for a spin. It’s been a longtime since I’ve put together a MEGA set, and guess what? It’s going to be an even longer time because my.kids put this together all on their own with absolutely no help from me. So often I find that these building block sets can be a bit difficult to put together, and since this one has so many moving parts, I figured they would run into problems quickly. Thankfully, that was not the case!

They had a blast putting this one together, but even more fun playing with it. Since the set comes with 4 different Pokemon, there was plenty of playable characters to go around. If you have many little Pokemon fans in your family, I highly suggest grabbing this set – having so many Pokemon means multiple little sets of hands can get in there for some playtime, and that’s what playing is all about – having fun with friends!

This one is an easy recommendation for me! Check it out this holiday season!

  • Ages: 8Y+

  • Availability: Toys R Us, Walmart, Loblaws, Amazon, EB Games, Mastermind, Indigo, Winners

  • MSRP: $109.99 CAD
