Google Night Sight is a Camera Difference Maker

When we reviewed the Google Pixel 3 XL, we raved about the camera that came standard on both the standard model of the phone, as well as the XL version. Last week, we brought the Google Pixel 3 XL with us on a family vacation to Disney World, and the pictures were outstanding. We’ve included many of them below, so you can see how good they are!

The first batch of photos pertain to our evening at Mickey’s Verry Merry Christmas Party, a special ticketed event that happens at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in November and December. During the party, the lights are generally low across the Magic Kingdom, so it was the perfect opportunity to snap a few photos using Night Sight. They did not disappoint! A shot from Pandora is also here on the right!

Our second batch of photos came from Animal Kingdom’s World of Pandora (and one photo above), which is illuminated beautifully at night. Despite the various colours, regular phone captures did not do this area of the park justice, but with Night Sight, the pictures came alive like you were actually there yourself. Here, we have two shots below, one taken with Night Sight, and another not. Here you can see the contrast between using the photo mode, and not.

If you are looking for a functional phone with great internals, a strong battery life, and a fantastic camera, the Google Pixel 3 and the Google Pixel 3 XL might be the phone for you this holiday season!
