More Thoughts From Me #194: Luigi Saves the Day

Luigi doesn’t get enough credit as a hero. His big bro Mario is always stealing the spotlight. Thats not so in Luigi’s Mansion¬†3 where Mario, Peach, and three Toads are kidnapped and Luigi grabs hold of the spotlight. This is 100% Luigi’s game and its a complete blast. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is one of the best games on the Nintendo Switch. Let me tell you why this game is a must own for your collection!

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is amazing. I played the other two Luigi’s Mansions and while I did like them, I was never addicted to them nor did I think I’d beat them. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is totally different. I am so addicted to this game and I do think I’ll eventually beat it.

The first two games in the series were extremely hard. The newest game, while still pretty hard, does other you more tips and hints as to what you should go. There has been a few times when the tips and hints didn’t help and I found myself going to a youtube video to help out. Overall though I have been able to figure out a lot of the puzzles and boss fights. There are some pretty crazy boss fights!

When you’re not in a boss fight or figuring out a puzzle, the gameplay is even more super addictive and fun. I love capturing ghosts. The best part is when you slam the ghosts around. I never get tired of that! Its always fun. I also really enjoy exploring each and every floor of the hotel. Its a very big place and each floor is like its own world. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a really impressive game.

The visuals in this game are especially great. Luigi’s Mansion 3 may be the best looking game on the Nintendo Switch and thats saying a lot when you have games like Super Mario Odyssey, Link’s Awakening, Dragon Quest 11 S, and more on this system. Luigi’s Mansion 3 looks great in handheld mode and looks even better on the TV. The level of detail is jaw dropping. Each floor is packed with things to see and things that you can suck up. The environments in Luigi’s Mansion 3 are more interactive¬†than I’ve seen in most games, Nintendo or otherwise. If you see it, you can probably suck it up or move it around. Amazing!

I didn’t know I’d love this game so much. I thought it would be fun but Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a real treat. Its was the perfect Halloween game, though honestly you could play this game any time of the year. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is one of my favorite games that came out this year. Maybe more so than Link’s Awakening! I think I’d still put Dragon Quest 11 S as my number one game of 2019 but its a very close thing. If you haven’t played Luigi’s Mansion 3 yet, what are you waiting for? Go get it!

Next week: I started playing Tomodachi Life again on the 3DS and I started to think: What would Tomodachi Life be like on the Nintendo Switch? Next week, I’ll talk about a Tomodachi Life for Switch and how it could be even better than the one on 3DS.
